Power Rangers Samurai Shark zord

Even due to a busy work schedule, I manage to get a Samurai shark zord from the Power Rangers Samurai deluxe zord line. Arriving early of July though American release was months before, I was still excited to finally see this zord released in all major deparmental stores here.

Certainly not worth the $32.95 SGD retail price but with the 20% discount, definitely a much better deal. As for the actual toy itself, shark zord was also the equalivent of the Japanese  Shinkenger's counterpart Kyoryu Origami. The original version was a dinosaur, with added fins and a tail, the US adaptation made it a shark.

The fins are removeable for a more show accurate appearance or the fins can be held with any

4 inch figure from the line.

Sharkzord is compatible with Beetle zord and swordfish zord to form the Samurai Shark wing.

The Samurai Sharkzord is also compatible with the Samurai Megazord to form another configuration called the Samurai Shark Megazord.

Sharkzord as a sword weapon  could be held by any of the Megazords from the line. The sharkzord alone isn't worth getting but if you have Samurai Megazord or any of the other zords, sharkzord adds more playability and display options and it looks awesome with Samurai Gigazord too!

Power Rangers Samurai Swordfish Folding Zord

Continuing with the Power Rangers Samurai series zords line, heres's the Blue Rangers Swordfish zord, Retail price was $32.95 Sgd, now with a cool 20% off which is $26.36 sgd is not a bad price for these little animal zords that is compatible with the other Megazords in the line.

The toy has a matt finish on all the blue parts, yellow paint details on the eyes and gold paint details on the tail fin, in swordfish mode, just like all the other auxiliary zords in the line, there are pegs for 4 inch figures to peg on and "ride", it has a tail flipping gimmick when you roll the zord along.

And just like I mentioned before, its compatible with the Samurai Megazord to become the Samurai Swordfish fencer Megazord, providing a new head piece and swopping the yellow ape zord replacing it with the body of the swordfish to form a sword arm.

 

Or you have a new configuration, the tail slapping mode! To slap the enemies silly.....

As a stand alone figure, the swordfish zord is definitely not worth it but if you have the Samurai Megazord, this is a nice addition to the set making more display options, the other good news is the Swordfish zord is not only compatible with the Samurai Megazord, it also combines with other auxiliary zords and also needed to form the Gigazord.

Another Sundays haul

Another nice Sunday with more stuff I've gotten while shopping around.

Though it's been kinda late for the release of the Power rangers Samurai or Samurai Sentai Shinkengers (released in 2009) to be released here (which is now 2011) in Singapore (and usually it's always late for most stuff to get here), anyways, they are finally here, the Powerrangers Samurai Megazords or Samurai Gattai Origamis toys with also the Tv series hitting us every weekend mornings, these toys are a sure hit.

Current sales trend in Singapore departmental stores, usually within 2-3 months after the hype of the franchise has slowed down, the toys will be severely marked down and thrown into discount baskets, knowing that, I've decided to get them anyways. The basic Samurai Megazord and Clawzord were SGD$69.90 each, not too bad given the fact as the previous PR Rpm megazords were SGD$79.90 each.

The bad news, it seems that certain Samurai series toys and action figures have ridiculed marked up and out of the norm retail prices, the auxilliary zords were SGD$32.90 each (totalling to 4 zords) even though they came with 4" mini figures of the Power Rangers, the 8" action figures were SGD$27.90 each and 4" ones at SGD $14.90 each, seriously, the price was too much for me to handle.

I guess the auxilliary zord will the ones that I will be wait for. (to be thrown into discount bins that is)

Besides Rangers, I also gotten thunder thunder, thunder cats woOoOoooOOHOOOOOOOO Bandai 10" action figure of Lion-O from the classic 80s animation from the local toy shop.

Another excellent action figure, highly recommended, I will do another detailed review of them soon....
