It was later adopted by the Popy Toy company in 1972 as the name of a new line of die-cast metal robot and character toys sold in Japan. Chogokin toys were generally produced in ST (standard) or DX (deluxe) sizes. Standard sized robots are usually in the range of 5" tall with spring loaded shooting projectiles. The Deluxe sized robots are usually much larger and mostly transformable. Though the deluxe pieces are highly sought after the smaller counterparts are part and parcel to the chogokin line.
