Here's the Bandai Soul of chogokin's GX-40 Rokushin Gattai Godmars!!!!
Bought this hunk quite awhile back but forgot to actually take pics of it. Well, while I was cleaning my robos today, I finally realised I missed out Godmars from my blogs.....and having time now, here he is...

This is one awesome toy!!! I can almost hear Takeru shout!! RokUSHInN.....gaA A....TaAAIiIiIiI !! !! !! Based on the classic animation"Six God Combination Godmars" from the 1980s, the six robots combines to form one mighty gestalt. Lets get to the robots....
First up, Gaia forms the main internal body core fits into Sphinx and also driven by Takeru.
The smallest robot in the whole team and has gravitational beams, awakens from a statue in the ocean reefs. Comes with an extra pair of open fists.
Sphinx forms the main body, just like his stocky appearance, hes a strong one, emerges from the Pyramids found in the great desserts of Ancient Egypt. Also comes with extra pair of open fists.
Uranus breaks from the Ice bergs in Green land, forms the right arm and has the special ability to shoot freezer beams.
Titan forms the left arm and emerges from the depths of the Indian Ocean with the special ability of Cyclone Blasts.
Shin forms the right leg and has the ability to fire flares, this robo emerges from an ancient temple situated in south east asia.
Ra breaks off form the Easter Island statues and forms left leg and foot of Godmars with a special ability of Pulsar beams.
And with the introduction of the 6 gods, they combine to form!!!!
The weight of the Godmars is quite impressive, the fists are poseable and can be opened to hold his sword and theres also additional fist which solely enables Godmars to be equipped with his sword.
The sword is huge and chorme, mine has lost its shine or maybe its the humidity here. Oh well, I still love my Godmars. Along with this set, theres also quite a few accesories to be mentioned..
A transformable Cosmic Crusher.... this space cruiser is 3 ships in one.
Though there's no stand for the Robot, theres a small stand for Gaia or Cosmic Crusher, It can also become the stand for the sword also.
Heres the statue that could be opend to house Gaia. In the anime it breaks open when Gaia is summoned.
All in all, quite a good revamp of the vintage toy, Godmars is a very much appreciated gokin , big in size, roughly 13" tall, solid and with good amount of diecast, transformation is simple and not many flaws in the design. Another good one from the Bandai Soul of Chogokin line....
Back in 1978, Toei company teamed-up with Marvel Comics to develop a new version of Spidey storyline out of the normal comic line. The first live-action 41 episode series Toei did was Spiderman.
This version of Spiderman was very much different from the Marvel comics version, much like the tokusatsu shows and sentais in that era, Spider-Man now has a giant spaceship called the Marveller that transformed into a giant super robot Leopaldon to battle giant alien monsters sent by TETSUJYUJIDAN , Spiderman also had a super car called the Spider Machine.
Heres another nice addition from Bandai's Soul of Chogokin line, GX-33 Leopaldon and Spiderman.
Solid robot mode with a good weight and feel to it.
Transformation is simple with 2 sets of arms for the Marveller mode and the other for posing in robot mode.
The stands cool which stores all accesories and weapons, 2 spider-machines included, a mini version that fits in Marveller and a bigger which is stored in the base.
There's also 2 spidey figures, a mini one and a Soul of vinyl 5" one. Nicely detailed and painted and came with a clip stand.
The weapons included was 1 sword and a web shield, poseabilty wasn't that great but this is another classic vintage character brought back to you from the Soul of chogokin line, if some robots are like a 1000 pc Jigsaw puzzle to transform and simplicity is your game, this robo is the one for you.....
Sengoku Majin GoShogun (戦国魔神ゴーショーグン) was a super robot animation series produced in 1981 and aired in 1982 in Japan. It was also know as "Macron 1".
One of the coolest robots around with a good anime to go along, heres a highly recommended Gokin from the Brave Gokin series by CM corporation. Though its yen price is 12 800 yen, the quality makes up for the price.
Though its smaller in size compared to other chogokins, its metal content is good!! Legs and feet, upper and lower body, basically almost 90% diecast.....wat a sweet robo!!
Besides being fairly heavy, its has loads of accessories eg, a sword, 2 axes, goflasher that shoots and a base for Tri-3 ( the ninja like mini robo that goes into Goshogun) and guess what Tri-3 transforms...
The chest and legs open-up to fit Tri-3
And a good amount of articulation too, i'll say it again this is one is not to be missed..
This baby is so sweet I even custom-made him a stand...... This is one gokin I highly recommend unless you're not a big fan of the animation.....oh well, to each his own or should I say to each his Goshogun!
Raideen, one of my favourite Super robots from the past, besides being transformable ( transformable robots turn me on except for other things that transform...) the god bird mode, the design another thing.
Much like a egyptian pharoah, the designs is one that attracts me.... well, heres some of my Raideens that awakes at my home everyday!!!
Bandais Soul of chogokin GX-41 Brave Raideen is one of the best versions capturing the soul of Raideen, the tranformation to god bird and the poseability.
Though the accessories aren't what I expected, the toy itself was quite impressive, not much diecast compared to others, it still has it in the right places,
the weapons has to be assembled thus making playability not that enjoyable and most parts for the weapons keep dropping which is quite frustating.....well, I just have to look at the figure and forget about other the stuff...

Reissues of the classic originals, though these diecast robots are small in size, there are still transformable!!

Bandai released another reissue of Reideen from the GA series, GA-09,
too bad only theres only Raideen and Robocon they reissued. Bandai.....We need more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Much similar Mold to GT series but bigger,
the colour scheme was really shabby and also the quality, the horns tend to be broken when I first open mine,
I bought another one but this time, I found a MIB one, so I checked first before I gotten it...
And yes once more.. GOOOOODDDDD BIRRDDDDDDD!!!!
I hope you love the Raideens cos I sure love looking at them everyday.....
