TFX-04 Protector

It's been awhile since I last posted, since then, I was thinking of posting all the older toys first though I know I won't have time to keep up.
The other thing is my camera is out of order, permanently, so the pictures aren't as good as it use to be. Till I get a nice new camera, the pics were taken with a crappy handphone camera which is bad but not entirely.

This is one of them I missed maybe due to the sheer awesomeness, I plainly forgot, now here's a look at Fansproject TFX-04 Protector.
Upgrade addon kit for Classics/Henkei Hot Rod.

The protector is much as same as the previous releases (city commander, DIA commander), similar box design but in Red.
When you first open the box, protector is transformed into trailer mode. I don't have a classics Hot Rod but I do have the Challenge of Cybertron Hot Rod thus all the pictures are based on this version of Hot Rod.

The colour scheme really matches more with the Hasbro's Classic Hot Rod/ Rodimus then this 3pack one.
Transformation works on any Hot Rod if you dun mind the colour scheme.

The protector trailer also forms add-on armor to make Hot Rod become Rodimus Prime.

Transformation is easy and really crisps no loose parts or mismatched parts, much similar to previous releases by Fansproject, armor clips-on easily and accurately.

After transformation, you get a taller, more anime-accurate Rodimus Prime, now this is an update of the classic Rodimus we all know and love.
Poseabilty of the Protector uses all of Hot Rods existing articulation with new additions on the arms.

The remaining trailer also transforms into a battle cannon/base much similar to the vintage Rodimus Prime.
And the trailer also houses a small 6 wheeled roller-like vehicle which could carry weapons and roll around.

TFX-01J D.I.A commander

Hello to all again, I'm back from all the Lunar New year celebrations, back to work and of course, back to all the glorious toys!
To begin with, here's one of my fave Transformers, Henkei Convoy or Henkei Optimus Prime.
The upgrade set D.I.A commander is the third repaint of the TFX-01 City Commander set which is also know as Ultra Magnus, was made to make your Classics Voyager Ultra Magnus more erm Ultra Magnus looking.

Just in case, you guys don't know what Im talking about, TF Parallax is a fan based set of armor, made to merge into Transformers Henkei or Classics Optimus Prime aka Poweredup Prime.
The D.I.A. Commander was more suitable for Henkei version( Japanese version of the classics Optimus Prime, but to me it matches both Henkei or Classics version , since the repaint for Prime (TFX-01R Powered Commander) was a limited exclusive for Toronto's TFCon convention.D.I.A commander is also a Diaclone colour scheme just like the vintage Diaclones of the 80s.

Pictured is a Japan version Optimus Prime.

Here's Optimus Prime in truck mode and the armour transforms into the trailer. Yes, more pictures ahead.

Im quite impressed in the quality of the fan project toy, the plastic used in the toy is top notched and the transformation is really nicely engineered.

Details are really slick too, to the paintwork, detailing and of course the chrome. Oops, I forgot to turn the license plate down. Ok, guys, more pictures....

Besides the inbuilt details you get, there is also stickers that make this even more outstanding, the stickers aren't the sleazy type, the stickers are actually high quality, thick and metallic finish, Yes, yes there's more pictures...

Here's the dismantled trailer, ready for transformation, the armour snaps on really nicely, except for the groin armor which easily falls off, the rest is snaps on tightly, the only down-side are the legs needs alittle more attention to snap on.

Here he is, fully snapped on armor, and does he look way cooler then the original counterpart though classics Prime is already badass.. and there's more pictures....

Prime's guns are stored on the back, not one but both of his guns.

Besides making Optimus Prime more badass, the trailer also transforms in a gigantic kickass gun missile laucher......

Downside, the gigantic gun is well, too gigantic, being too heavy for Prime to support, I had to use a cigarette box to support it to get that pose, guys, scroll for more pictures..

If you let your imagination run wild, Optimus can hold his gun this way like some stellar futurastic laser cannon or missile cannon thingy.....ok, its just me.....

All in all, this is highly recommended upgrade for your Classics Optimus, and unlike the exclusive released earlier, this set isn't so hefty in price...Powerup your Prime today!!!
Till all are one!!!!
