Transformers KO Reflector

Here's one of the best knock offs around, the Reflector knock off, transformations and mold is identical to the original, the only difference is the lack of diecast and colours.
The bad new of this set is the crappy stickers it came with and the joints, pegs and peg holes needs some filing down to fit better but all in all, it's a great representation of the original reflector set.

Highly recommended set if you cant find the original Reflector or just love to have another wierdly coloured version or just a transformer fan, these sets go cheap and found them at the night bazaars with all the other wierd knock offs.

Beelzeboss Herioc Duo Upgrade Kit

Just gotten another Upgrade kit past few weeks ago, due to my busy work schedule, I didn't have time to post anything. I've gotten a bunch of Transformers Prime figures, all thanks to the clearance sales down here and a few old Brave series robots too. Updates aside, here's a 3rd party upgrade kit from a company called Beelzeboss, this set mainly focuses on the Transformers Henkei / Generations Sideswipe and Red Alert.

The set includes 2 guns and 2 shoulder cannons for both figures, pile driver fists for Sideswipe and the main attraction is the new head for Red Alert.
Installation is easy, clipping on the shoulder mounts and clipping in the shoulder cannons.
The pile drivers fit into each fist hole snugly. The only assembly required is the removing and reattaching of the screw from the old Red Alert Head and attaching the new head.

What you have is 2 beautifully updated G1 characters, overall, this is a great set costing only $35, you get a more accurate shoulder cannons and weapons for both figures, a accurate head for Red alert and accesories for Sideswipe.
The only downside is if you don't have the figures to begin with. Sideswipe can run quite abit nowadays and since the release of the Masterpiece version, prices for Henkei Sideswipe actually went up. Red Alert is relatively easier to find.
With this upgrade set, Sideswipe and Red Alert finally is complete.

Transformers Armada TRU Japan Magna Convoy

Another lucky find from Ebay, at the mere fraction of the price, I finally got a Toys R Us exclusive Magna Convoy, a repainted Armada Convoy or Optimus Prime.
I didn't plan to get him, I was just browsing through Ebay and wham, I started to bid on it and won it at $25. Yes, a leader class toy at $25. Enough said, here's the pictures.
First up let's look at the Alternate mode, the semi-truck with trailer.
The cab actually came with clear smoke stacks which are missing on mine hence the cheap price, but still looks good without them.

As for the gimmicks, Magna Convoy or Armada Convoy has an auto-transfomation which is activated when you semi transform the cab section. The one I've got, has non-working electronics, so for transformation is all manual done which I'm fine with, I wasn't a big fan of the gimmick to begin with.

The Cab section transforms into an Optimus Prime too. Just love the paintjob on this version. Red Eyes, red mouth plate and a off blue greyish hue on it's body.

The chest still has the matrix of leadership molded inside.

\
Magna Convoy also came with a minicon Sparkplug which was originally yellow but got repainted in Gold chromed. Similar transformation with nothing new added just repainted gold.

Time to form Super mode Optimus Prime. The cab and trailer combines together to form the super mode.

Wasn't a big fan of the first release of the Armada Optimus Prime but ever since I've gotten Magna Convoy, it really changed my mind.
Magna Convoy makes a real nice display, standing at 13 inches tall, he's just slightly smaller then Unicron.

Mastermind Creation's Upcoming Hexatron

One of the most long awaited Transformers Generation 1 characters to re-released in plastic glory, the six changer Six-shot or now known as Terminus Hexatron by  the 3rd party company which gave us the Knight Morpher, Mastermind Creations.
Revamped but retaining the G1 aesthatics of the classic character, rumored to be approximately Transformers Movie leader sized figure. The 6 transformations truefully faithful to the original, only difference with the beast mode, not being a flying puma, this incarnation resembles a cyber wolf.

Besides the classic Decepticon, Mastermind creations is also releasing a recolour redecoed Great Shot.
Though the bad news is the retail price would be around $200 USD but the fans of the Generation 1 characters, this should be a must have.

Xtransbot XP-01 Destroyer Devastator upgrade set pics

Finally, I got it erm 2 sets, I forgot I preordered from Tfsource too. Now I have 2 sets well, thats alrite, I'll just sell off the other set. As I forgot to mention in the previous posts, the finger joints has some problems when you pose them, they may snap and break or refuse to stay in.
The problem has been solved, the first set I got, friendly people at Robo Robo gave me another  pair of newly improved set of fists which has the problem all solve. Now I can pose him and hold his rifle with no problems. Here's some pics...

Transformers Universe Unicron TRU exclusive

Gotten this supreme class transformers awhile back from my local Toys'r'us, though Takara released a animation accurate version and the 25th aniversary version, I still prefer the armada head sculpt. The only problems or issues with this version, is the translucent parts which really turns me off. So I decided to repaint mine with some paints I got from model kit shop.
Repainted the chest, groin and head, finished with a gundam marker for the panel lines, now thats much more like G1 Unicron I know.

Transformers DOTM Voyager class Sentinel Prime

Since I'm taking some time off for the Chinese New Year, I have lotsa time to spare. Anyways, remember after watching Transformers DOTM movie, there was a few new characters that everybody was dying to get a hold off. For me, firstly it was Shockwave and second it has to be Sentinel Prime.

Though there was a leader class version of Sentinel Prime with accuurate blade weapon and shield, I still decided to get the voyager class one, mainly due to size. The bad news is the voyager class version lacks the blades and shield.

So I decided to give my Sentinel Prime a shield and blade.
This is really quite simple, the shield is just the claw armor plate of a Zoids Genobreaker while the blades are just Transformers United's Drift's twin blades. All it needs now is a nice silver paint job.

Viola! You have a Sentinel Prime with weapons although I would like it more if the shield was a tad smaller but it doesn't look that bad. As for the double blades, the peg fits on each fists nicely but for them to get into the fists holes underneath the fists, some filing on the handles of the swords would help.

There's no way to store the sheild but for the blades, any of the mech tech ports are quite useful, for me, I put on both sides of the mech tech weapon.

With a weaponised Sentinel Prime, he's ready to do battle with Optimus or gut Ironhide....or wreck anybody who opposes his will to save his kind......or even Megatron......what an ending that will be.....

Transformers DOTM Ultimate Optimus Prime with blades?

During the mid-autumn sale at departmental store OG, I stumble upon a big box at the toy section, it was huge, it was alluring, it was Optimus Prime, Ultimate Optimus Prime to be exact. Though never appearing in the movie, the sheer size was quite attractive and with the sale price what more can a geek ask for.

Not a bad figure with exceptions to the Optimus Prime's arms transformation, this is a nice rendition of the movie verse Optimus. Figure aside, given the fact that the trailer transforms into a huge armor armament for Prime and a giant cannon, there is another issue about this toy is the lack of weapons for the Optimus Prime cab.

Well, I decided to give mine a upgrade, taking the mech tech weapon from the deluxe DOTM Optimus Prime and customizing blades from Zoids Genobreaker (shown on top) and the blades (below)

The blades are easy to custom, just file down the pegs as it's too big go into any mech tech ports then cut blades into the desired shape. Do take note, don't sqeeze the pegs into Prime before you file it down, if not, you might crack and cause stress marks on the pegholes.
When finished, you have an Optimus Prime ready for battle.

As for storage in robot mode, I prefer it to be on the back as the back transformations covers the blades really well.

In vehicle mode, I guess just peg them to the sides, the other positions look abit awkward.

The blade can be pegged on the deluxe prime too!
