The legend of Daiku Maryu

If you love the first Gaiking series, like I do, you will love this one. Recapturing of the original Gaiking animation, Legend of Daiku Maryu or Legend of the Great Sky Demon came close to the original, here's Bandai's respond, the Soul of Chogokin GE-10 Gaiking.which is going at a clearance down here woohooo, pros and cons man......

The box displays the 3 parts that form the robot Gaiking behind cellophane windows. The box also has a cool illustration from the animation.

Unlike the previous GX-27 SOC Gaiking, this version has lesser parts. This set comes with 2 sets of hands, Gaiking Lance, Gaiking Axe, Gaiking Shield, and Counter Lance.

Poseabilty and transformations is smooth, though the face plates drops off easily which is quite frustating..

When separated all 3 parts and weapons fit onto the nice display stand.

Capturing much of the essence of the original Gaiking. The GE-10 Gaiking figure isn't the best Gaiking around but not a bad chogokin to add to your collection.
n653181336_2275290_7823048 Boo yeah!!!! Bad news, the mechanics are inferior to the GX-27 Gaiking, If you're a big fan get em both, but if you're not, GX-27 is better choice. I got mine cos it was cheap... the more fun to play with!!!

GD-16 RX-78 Gundam

Bought this beauty last month and absolutely forgot that I even have it, ebay was the place of purchase at a steal at 25 USD, what a price, was it a sale item that nobody wanted, I highly doubt so, well, just check him out!

Bandai Soul of chogokin Gundam series GD-16 RX-78 was released in 1999. Packed in styrofoam tray with all accessories neatly positioned, even though I was never a huge Gundam fan, but this one was an exception.
DSC03629 DSC03635
DSC03647 DSC03641 Standing roughly 4 inches tall the diecast contents not super fabulous compared to other chogokins (comparing to smaller GT series or any lightans), the upper chest and feets has metal content the rest is plastic.
DSC03623 DSC03624
Even with the lack of diecast, the poseability makes up for it, the elbow and knees hyper extend to make more detailed poses. Accessories includes 8 interchangeable fists, proton gun, sheild, Bazooka, 2 beam sabers, beam staff and iron mace.

DSC03619
DSC03622 Not a bad figure to have fun with, lotsa poseabilty and a number of accessories, no display stand but it came with a metal figure of Amuro Ray not a bad deal...overall, a simple robot for any chogokin fan....

Oh ranger

From the ever popular Choroki Sentai Ohranger, US adapted version Power Rangers Zeo was a hit too, the US versions linked the stories together and had the transition of the previous season rangers. And yes, I love the red ranger! Wats better than seeing stars..yup you guessed it...is having a star on your face....
Recently just purchased these guys, here's a look at Bandai's Ohranger Robo.

All the zord each carry a helmet which can be interchanged and provide different powers for different combat situations. Every ranger also can take command and harness various special attacks.

DSC04851 DSC04849 From left to right, Graviton head from Dash leon, Vulcan head from Dogu Lander, Horned Helmet from Grantaurus and Cannon head from Moa Lander, the wing head helmet from the Red Phoenix is common used and could be the default helmet.
Red Puncher

The red ranger also commands the Red Puncher Zord, a boxing robot which also combines with Ohranger Robo. What's better than a Star-faced Ranger, you guessed it, a star-faced Zord!!

This set is one of my favorites though lack of diecast parts, it has a nice design and simple transformation.

Yamanaya Hyperhobby Cyber-Pandon

One of my fave monsters from another Ultraman series ( I think im gonna use this line very often)
Appearing from Ultraseven series Episodes #48 & #49..
The twin headed bird monster named Pandon パンドン.

A hyperhobby magazine mailaway, made by Yamanaya KaijuBox, this standard sized 9" Cyber Pandon holds the eye slugger on his right hand.
Yamanaya also released a Normal Pandon and a Ultraseven without the eyeslugger attached.

DSC03359 DSC03360 Controlled by the evil Ghost Seijins, the monster stands around 40 Meters tall and weighing around 15,000 Tons.
Design was kinda lingering in my mind, 2 beaks, 1 head
and lotsa horns to boot ( yep insert your horny jokes here )
In the episode, Pandon was a powerful opponent giving
Ultraseven a tough time. One of the few monster who disarmed Ultrasevens Eye Slugger from him.
The TDF squad used their planes and distracted Pandon,
allowing the Ultraseven to retrieve the Eye Slugger and use his boomerang attack
slicing off Pandon's left arm and right leg.

DSC03361 DSC03362
In episode #49, the Ghost Seijins repaired and modified Pandon and deployed him once again.
The result was much the same, Pandon pummeling Ultraseven until TDF once again came to his aid.

DSC03367 DSC03370
Ultraseven tried his Eye Slugger again but Pandon managed to catch it and tried to use it against him
Ultraseven however controlled the eye slugger back to send it back and simultaneously decapitate Pandon's head, killing him and yes, sometimes 2 heads is not better than 1...lol...
